Heather and her family came to visit back in April for about a week. We actually did a lot of running around with 4 kids. We went to SAM~Seattle Art Muesum. It was interesting but it didn't blow my socks off. The coolest parts we couldn't take pictures of so we only took a few.
We went on two picnics. This was the warmer of the two. Bradley Lake park is a beautiful place to watch your kids play, enjoy looking at the water, and sitting on green grass. I love picnics.
This was our Diner's Drive-ins & Dive we hit to see if it was really good. The chili was okay. Again didn't blow my socks off and I probably would choose to go there again. We did eat at Paseo's and loved that.
Here we are at the Daffodil parade. It was a little chilly and the parade lasted forever! The kids enjoyed it and then afterwards we had a more chilly picnic. Heather said it was the coldest picnic she has ever had. If it's not raining here we take full advantage of getting outside!
We hit a few malls and Heather and Guy had a date night to end their trip. It was a lot of fun having them in my house as our house guests for the first time since Derek and I have been married. I cooked and cooked and cooked and loved every minute of it. Thanks for a fun time Heather, I love you!
I helped shoot a wedding with my friend Tara and Kari. I was the 3rd shooter and this was my 2nd wedding with them. It's a lot of fun and I have the advantage of being super creative b/c I'm not the lead shooter so here are some of my favorites. I'm working on my creativity :)
I shot over 1200 pictures at this wedding. This is a very small sampling of the entire night.
First of all this is my dear friend Angie and her precious Landon. He is a doll and she is the most photogenic person I've ever shot! Just gorgeous. Blake... you are a lucky man :) I couldn't pick so here's a bunch.... I still have way more.
Shepherd and I had a fun day with camera in hand... we took pictures of each other for about 30 minutes. I think he has great form and he is a great model!
Unlike Shepherd, Beckham knows how to put food away in a hurry. And well he enjoys wearing it occasionally too! This is his first bout with sweet potatoes.. I think he won.
Les Gilson came to visit! Les was my strength and conditioning coach at ETSU where I played softball. He is with Rugby Canada now in the big leagues! Thanks for stopping by Les.
I was looking for a constant in our weekly routine. Something that the whole family could look forward to. After talking with a few MOPS friends I decided to try my hand at McVay Pizza Movie night! So far so good. I make the pizza dough and every week Shepherd tells me what he wants on his pizza and then how much he LOVES Pizza/movie night! He words exactly," I wanna have pizza/movie night all days!" I love that he has something to look forward to and he is helping me in the kitchen.
So far this Arugula pizza with fresh lemon squeezed on top is my favorite.
Shep rolling out his dough
Adding the "red" sauce
Finished product.
He decided that he likes the red sauce better than the green that we had the week before.
